Jessica YuPresidentJessica founded the Korean American Law Student Association (KALSA) as a second year law student at Seattle University School of Law in 2006. As the founder of KALSA, she served as the student liaison to KABA and has been actively involved with KABA since then. She is an associate at Stokes Lawrence, P.S. and focuses her practice on business, real estate, and immigration.
Young-Ji HamPresident-ElectYoung-Ji Ham and her business partner opened their firm, Washington Injury Lawyers, PLLC, in late 2013. Their practice areas include personal injury and workers compensation. As the KABA pro bono chair, she helps coordinate KABA’s pro bono legal clinic and hopes to increase KABA's pro bono involvement as KABA's president-elect. Young-Ji grew up in New England and received her Bachelor of Arts from Boston College and her Juris Doctorate from Suffolk University Law School. She enjoys kickboxing, hiking, cycling and taking walks around Green Lake with her husband in her spare time!
Rachel LukeTreasurerRachel Luke is an associate attorney at Wong Fleming in Bellevue, Washington where her primary area of practice is family law. Rachel studied Art History at the University of Washington. She attended Seattle University School of Law where she served as Vice President of the Black Law Student Association and Managing Editor of the Seattle Journal for Social Justice. Rachel currently serves as the Treasurer of the Korean American Bar Association of Washington and resides in Seattle with her husband and daughter.
Michelle LeeSecretaryMichelle is senior corporate counsel at Adaptive Biotechnologies Corp., where she manages intellectual property and licensing matters. She previously worked at Fenwick & West in San Francisco as an Intellectual Property Associate. She is a University of California, Hastings 2009 graduate and has a masters in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from University of Chicago. Michelle enjoys yoga, golf and traveling.
Crystal NamSocial ChairCrystal is an associate at Davis Wright Tremaine LLP with a focus on trademarks and intellectual property matters. After serving as the Banquet chair last year, she is currently serving her second year on the KABA Board as the Social Chair, where KABA has successfully hosted law student mentorship socials, joint-MBA social events, and professional networking happy hours. Crystal has a BA in journalism from University of Washington and a JD from Cornell University.
Kenny HongMembership/Community ChairKenny is a state assistant attorney general. He pursues monies owed to the Department of Social and Health Services ensuring social service dollars are available for those most in need. He was formerly in private practice with an international law firm.
Margaret PakMentorship ChairMargaret is an attorney who represents clients in a wide variety of civil litigation matters, including personal injury, product liability, professional malpractice, commercial disputes, real property and employment-related matters. Before starting her own law firm, Enslow Martin PLLC, she practiced law at a litigation boutique in Seattle and at the San Francisco office of a national law firm. Margaret is licensed to practice law in state and federal courts in Washington, Oregon and California. Margaret has a BA from UC Berkeley and a JD from the University of Washington.
Tim HanWeb/Tech ChairTim graduated from UCLA School of Law in 2014 and from UCLA in a 2011, making him a “double Bruin.” He focuses his practice on intellectual property, technology law and other commercial transactions. Tim enjoys gadgetry, gaming, running, soccer and playing with his Golden Retriever pup, “Ollie.”
Pia KamimuraScholarship ChairPia is the Executive Director of The Korean American Project, a nonprofit organization representing philanthropic Korean Americans of the greater Seattle area. She earned her B.A. and is pursuing her J.D. from the University of Washington. Pia has previously served on the ABAW board and is currently serving her third year on the KABA board.
Sarah ChoDirectorGraduated from Seattle University School of Law in 2009, Cum Laude. Practices criminal defense, personal injury, and traffic infractions out of Bellevue, WA. She is a graduate of the Gerry Spence Trial Lawyer's College, class of July 2014. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys hiking, camping, and walking her Yorkie, "Baby".
David KoDirectorDavid practices in Keller Rohrback’s nationally recognized Complex Litigation Group where he represents retirement plans and institutional investors against corporate defendants in federal and state courts across the country. David has experience in all phases of litigation, and focuses on cases involving investment mismanagement, breaches of fiduciary duty, securities violations, and general corporate malfeasance. Prior to joining KR, David clerked for the Honorable Ricardo S. Martinez, United States District Judge for the Western District of Washington. David is past president of KABA and a 2014 Fellow of the Washington Leadership Institute. David earned his J.D. from Seattle University and a B.A. and LL.M. in taxation from the University of Washington.
Jerry ChiangDirectorJerry is corporate counsel at Amazon.com, Inc. and an adjunct professor at Seattle University School of Law. Previously he was general counsel at Experience Hendrix, LLC, the family-run company that owns and administers Jimi Hendrix's music and related IP rights. Jerry began his legal career as a corporate associate at Stoel Rives LLP. He earned both his BA and JD from the University of Washington. This is his sixth year serving on the KABA board, and he served as President from 2010 to 2011.
Paige HardyDirectorPaige Hardy graduated from the University of Washington in 2011, double majoring in both Korean Studies and English Literature. She has recently graduated from Seattle University School of Law. During her time at law school, Paige interned for various civil legal aid organizations, to include assisting legal permanent residents with the naturalization process and defending low-income tenants against unlawful detainer actions. Currently, Paige is a first-year associate at Wong Fleming working predominately on family law and civil litigation matters.
Jong KimDirectorJong Hoon Kim is a staff attorney at the Northwest Justice Project. His focus is on foreclosure prevention, defending homeowners against banks. Jong received his B.A. from Western Washington University and J.D. from St. Louis University School of Law. He was admitted to the Washington State bar in 2010.

Claire LeeDirectorClaire Lee is an associate attorney at Premier Law Group, PLLC in Bellevue. She focuses her practice on civil litigation, including representing clients in the areas of civil rights (police misconduct), employment (wrongful termination, employment discrimination and sexual harassment) and personal injury. Claire is licensed to practice before the Washington state and federal courts, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She received her B.A. in political science from the University of Washington and her J.D. from the University of Akron School of Law.
Bob NoeDirectorRobert (Bob) Noe is a University of Puget Sound School of Law, now Seattle University Law School, graduate. Bob has been a practicing municipal attorney for the past 20 years; his practice focuses on all areas of municipal law, including litigation, land use, constitutional law, open public meetings and public records, employment law, and dispute resolution. Bob currently serves as the City Attorney for the Cities of Selah and Moxee and handles special projects and litigation for a variety of other municipal clients.
