Description: There is a happy hour with the Economic Section of the Korean Embassy in Washington, DC. to celebrate the passage of the KORUS FTA and thanking our local supporters for their help. This event is also geared towards building and strengthening the grassroots coalition and asking individuals’ support as Friends of Korea given local Korean-American communities and other Friends of Korea were integral parts of the passage of the FTA. Law students, attorneys, and members of the Korean community are invited.
The happy hour will be at Piatti at 2695 NW Village Lane, Seattle, WA 98105 on December 2, 2011 from 6pm – 8pm. We hope to see you there.

Description: For the third year in a row, KAC-WA, KABA and KAHPA will host a cook-off to see who will win the judges\’ pick for \”Baddest Kalbi in the Northwest\” and the \”People\’s Choice Kalbi.\” We are bringing the event back to a local park, and hope you will join us with your families and friends to compete, partake and have some fun!

Description: KABA with Northwest Justice Project and Washington state Homeownership Resource Center is sponsoring a Korean community education workshop to help distressed homeowners who are facing foreclosure and/or are at risk of default and want to get advisce and apply for a loan modification. A major focus of the workshop is educating homeowners on the new law “Foreclosure Fairness Act,” which requires banks to mediate with homeowners who want to protect their homes.
