The Center for APA Women Announces the Whole Person Leadership Seminar
The Regional Whole Person Leadership Seminar, co-sponsored by The Center for APA Women and Seattle University School of Law, will be held on October 1, 2010. The Center is a national, nonprofit organization dedicated to the enhancement and enrichment of leadership skills for Asian American and
Pacific Islander (AA/PI) women through education, networking and mentoring. The Center’s staff include Rosie Abriam, CEO, and Peggy Nagae, Program Director.
The Center’s Regional Leadership Seminars focus on our Whole Person Leadership model and living and leading from the center. Participants begin the exploration and discussion about their Whole Person Leadership style. Equally as important are conversations and exercises regarding cultural identity, working with each other to build and to enhance community relationships with an open mind and heart.
Participants hear from panelists about their journey in building relationships, establishing community and being a whole person leader. During lunch, participants dine with several different APA women leaders, who answer questions and share their experiences with participants in what we call a “dine-around”. Since 2007, the Center has held Regionals in Houston, New York and Atlanta. In 2009, we held our our bi-annual Summit at the Microsoft campus in Redmond.
This Regional Summit is another opportunity for APA women and those who work with or know APA women to develop their whole person leadership skills.
